Collection Manager |
Optional. The meter serial number. If the MeterSerialNumber is not included in the MDI file, Collection Manager will use MeterNumber. If MeterNumber is also not present, Collection Manager will use MeterId. If MeterSerialNumber is included in the MDI file and is different for the specified service point/device ID, the meter serial number field is updated with the new MeterSerialNumber value. For example, if you are swapping a meter, but are not swapping the endpoint, the meter's serial number will be updated, but the endpoint's ID will stay the same. For electric meters, this field may contain the customer serial number (the number on the face of the meter) if it is different from the ESN. This data can be searched and is displayed by the user interface. |
